Christmas is coming which means joy for some and stress for others!
It is promoted as the season of goodwill and being kind unto others (including ourselves), but for many people it can be a busy and sometimes difficult and stressful period. It can also be a time where we forget to slow down and do the things we enjoy and make us feel good, which is important to maintain our positive mental health and wellbeing.
Avoiding stress and stressful situations isn’t a realistic solution but focusing on what we can control and how we choose to respond to these situations is something we can do.
The Mental Health Association NSW has created a list of really useful tips that you can use as a checklist to get you through the pre and post Christmas holiday period with a smile on your face.
The Workplace Health Promotion Network (WHPN) would like to thank our members for all their support and input in 2014. Also to those that may have visited our website or received our WHPN eNews – we hope you decide to meet us in person in 2015.
We wish for you a happy, healthy and relaxing Christmas holiday period
